App Addiction: Minecraft

Hey Chicas! About a week ago, I downloaded the free Minecraft app for my iPod Touch. Within the hour, I was hooked. It's such a fun game!

You can play Minecraft in two ways, Creative or Survival mode. I really only play Minecraft in Creative Mode, because you can't really die in that version. Once, when I tried survival mode, all these stupid sheep were bouncing around. You're supposed to kill them or something, but I was like hahahahaNO. Then I built a house because at night all these creatures come out and kill you or something. I was in my little bunker when it got super dark outside. I stood there listening, when I heard growling noises. I literally shrieked and quit the game. Therefore, I prefer Creative Mode.

In Creative Mode, you have lots of creative ability. You can choose from all these blocks in your inventory to build stuff with. You can dig, climb, jump, even fly (but I haven't figured that one out yet). You start or spawn in this random world. It can be filled with everything, from flowers to mountains to oceans. You basically build whatever you want! I normally tunnel through the mountains to make quicker routes everywhere.

I also like building houses and towers. Today, I actually built this ridiculously big house with all these different levels built on top of a mountain. It had lots of rooms and balconies and tunnels and stuff. I build most of my houses out of red brick, but today I built it out of this grey stone. I actually just figured out how to use torches. I used to just hold them and be like, " TORCH!! WHY U NO WORK?" No joke. Oh, and another thing. I HATE BEING UNDERWATER. Sososososososososososo much!!!!! I always get stuck and just die.

One problem with this game that I have is that it doesn't save. If I exit the app or get a Facebook notification or something, it deletes everthing. If you know how to fix this, tell me please! It also might be the fact that I'm on the free version. I dont feel like spending 7 bucks to play a game I'll probably only love until the next awesome app comes out. If it's totally worth it, maybe I'll get it.

Keep Calm and.... What?

It's INSANE the amount of these signs I've been seeing around lately. My friend had one on Facebook that said Keep calm and Love One Direction ( who doesn't these days?), I found one that said Keep Calm and Fake a British Accent. They're literally EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!!

Where did this insane saying come from, you ask? Well, it was first used as propoganda by England during WWII. It was used to keep citzens calm and collected. In 2000, someone discovered a copy of one in a bookstore in Northumberland (in NE England). It was quickly printed on everything from welcome mats to mugs, and have been very popluar since 2012 started.

This new found "trend"  is spriraling upward, so I thought I'd share some of my favorite Keep Calm and... quotes. Here are a few of my faves.

The Hunger Games is literally the BEST movie I have ever seen.... and I've seen a lot. This is a term that Effie trinket, a bizzare being from The Capitol, uses many times in the book and movie.

This one is probably my favorite one of all. It has an upside down crown and would cause quite a stir if used during the War.

This video was so well shot and the song she played was absolutely beautiful. It's had over 8.4 MILLION views in 3 weeks. (I may or may not be accountable for 5 million of those views)

The Cinnamon Challenge

What is it you ask? well, according to Urban Dictionary and 500 gazillion other people the cinnamon challenge is basically where you take either a spoonful or a tablespoon of plain old cinnamon powder and swallow it without drinking water to help you. Does it sound simple? If you said yes, come here so I can slap you. Simple?  ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!?!?!?!?!?! It's so freaking hard! I did it yesterday with my friend and my throat was on FIRE. I spent half of the afternoon with my head onder the sink's water spout, and that was the end of that. Though I AM sort of wondering if I could try it again and succeed, only this time with WAY less cinnamon. ...hmmm. If I do, I'll tell you. :)

Okay, so today is like one of the best holidays ever! It's the day of international love! So, in honor of this wonderful day, I thought I'd name my all time loves!

1. Makeup. 💄Come on. I'm a girl. This is my thing. I'm kinda obsessed. I'm actually gonna have to find a new space to put all of it soon ;)

2. Arizona Iced Tea. Nuff said.

3. Books. My all time favorite author is Margaret Peterson Haddix. She writes like the best things ever. My favorite book is Uprising. I seriously cried for an hour after I read it. ❤💚💜💙💛💗

I am a total book nerd. If I'm not wasting my life on the Internet, I'm reading. I recently went to the library and got literally a bookshelf's worth. I'm only showing you six though, so I don't look like a complete noob. Anyway, the books I have, from top to bottom are:

Yeah, so I like both romance novels AND action books. But the ratio sucks. It's like 5:1 I swear Nicholas Sparks is going to turn me into a complete crier. Not that there's anything WRONG with crying, but... I should stop writing now.

January Obsessions

Hey! This month I've been totally obsessed with a few things. And here they are!

... and of course TEMPLE RUN! I have seriously lost my life to this game. My highscore is 1,723,428. Yeah i know, lame.

And I have been totally loving the C.O. Bigelow Rose Salve. It smells SO SO GOOD, and really moisturizes my lips. :)

Funky Friday: app-tastic

Hey! So recently, I've absolutely fallen in love with some apps. So, I decided to write about them for you!
My faves are:
Temple Run-free
You basically are like Indiana Jones running from evil monkeys. You have to jump over tree roots, slide under flames, and collect coins. My high score is like 1 mil(can you spell obsessed? LOL)

Tiny Tower-free
You build a mini skyscraper, floor by floor, and move in bitizens, which run your shops. I only have 21 floors, cause I just started!

Instagram-free
I love instagram. You can upload pictures and see other pictures. There are some really cool pics on there. I definitely recommend this app.

Hair problems

I have an issue. My hair is limp spaghetti that will NOT shape. Not at all. When ever I curl it it's like...BAM.!!! Curly. And whenever I curl it, it's like womp. Flat. The only solution I have to this is a LOTTA hairspray. Does this ever happen to you?
